Ingredients

  • 1 Shortcrust pastry
  • 1 curled salad
  • 500 g Onions
  • 12 pitted black olive
  • 125 mL (½ cup) Pine nuts
  • 30 mL (2 tablespoon) cider vinegar
  • 15 mL (3 teaspoon) Sugar
  • 60 mL (¼ cup) Olive oil
  • 4 pinch Salt
  • 4 pinch Pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
  • Peel the onion and cut them into fine strips.
  • Heat a drizzle of oil in a frying pan and soften the onions.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of powder sugar, add salt and pepper.
  • Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Cut the olives into strips and add them to the onions.
  • Mix and pour them over the dough.
  • Evenly distribute the pine nut on the pie, put in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Serve the onion and pine nut pie with the curly lettuce seasoned with olive oil and cider vinegar.
