Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 400g lean beef mince
  • 1 can (400g) chopped tomatoes
  • 1 pkt MAGGI Mince Cottage Pie Recipe Base
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1/2 cup (60g) peas
  • 4 (750g) potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup (125mL) reduced fat milk
  • 1/2 cup (60g) tasty cheese, grated

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200°C.
  • Heat oil in pan, brown mince.
  • Add combined tomatoes and MAGGI Mince Cottage Pie Recipe Base, bring to boil, stirring, add vegetables, simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
  • Potato Topping: Peel, boil and mash potatoes. Add milk to taste, for an extra creamy mash.
  • Transfer meat filling to ovenproof dish and spread mash potato evenly over the top.
  • Sprinkle with cheese, bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
