Dagwood Dogs Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 2 egg yolks beaten
- 10 hot dogs halved
- 1 splash oil

Instructions
- Cook hot dogs according to packet directions.
- Mix flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and bicarbonate of soda.
- Combine milk and yolks.
- Dry hot dogs with paper towel, cut in half and insert skewers.
- Heat oil in a saucepan.
- Coat each hot dog in batter.
- Hold hot dog by skewer and spin slowly in the hot oil.
- Allow to cook for 5-6 minutes or until golden.
