Ingredients

  • 1 jar (660 mL) Stefano Faita Arrabiata or Marinara sauce
  • 1 baguette
  • 80 mL (1/3 cup) olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 goat cheese log

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to broil.
  • Gently heat tomato sauce in a saucepan.
  • Keep warm.
  • Slice baguette into 1¼-cm (½-in.) slices and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Drizzle slices with olive oil and place in oven until slices are golden on both sides.
  • Remove baking sheet and heat oven to 220°C (425°F).
  • Gently rub one side of each slice with a garlic clove while bread is still nice and warm.
  • Set aside.
  • Slice goat cheese log, add slices to the middle of an oven-safe dish and pour warm tomato sauce on top, covering almost all the cheese.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes or until mixture is warm.
  • Place dish on a larger plate and surround with toasted bread slices.
  • Serve immediately.
