Ingredients

  • 45 mL (3 tbsp.) sodium-reduced tamari sauce
  • 15 mL (1 tbsp.) Compliments Olive Oil
  • 5 mL (1 tsp.) toasted sesame oil
  • 15 mL (1 tbsp.) rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 mL (½ tsp.) grated fresh ginger
  • 15 mL (1 tbsp.) Compliments Honey
  • 1x454-g package (16 oz.) firm plain tofu, diced
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 1 fennel, sliced
  • 4 skewers

Instructions

  • Mix together the tamari, olive oil, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and honey in a shallow dish.
  • Place tofu cubes in marinade and coat well.
  • Marinate in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  • Preheat barbecue to medium-high.
  • Alternately thread tofu cubes, fennel, and red peppers onto each skewer.
  • Grill about 5 minutes, turning at the halfway point.
  • Serve with rice and a green salad.
