Ingredients

  • 375 mL (1½ cups) strawberries, cut into pieces
  • 60 mL (¼ cup) sugar
  • 15 mL (1 tbsp.) lemon zest (about 1 lemon)
  • ½ angel food cake
  • 375 mL (1½ cups) 35% M.F. whipping cream
  • To taste, fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon zest in a bowl.
  • Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Whip the cream and set aside.
  • In small ramekins, place pieces of cake, top with strawberries, and then whipped cream.
  • Repeat a second time.
  • Garnish with a mint leaf.
