Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb (227 g) whole beef sirloin steak
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) canola oil
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) black pepper
  • 1/4 lb (113 g) dry rice noodles
  • 1 carton (900 mL) CAMPBELL’S® Ready To Use Pho Broth
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) bean sprouts
  • 3 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) basil leaves, whole or roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) cilantro leaves, whole or roughly chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges for garnish
  • Sriracha or other hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  • Rub steak with oil on both sides; season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a medium pan over medium-high. Sear steak for 1-2 minutes per side, or to desired doneness. Rest 5 minutes then slice very thinly across the grain. Set aside.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain, rinse in cold water and set aside.
  • Heat broth until gently simmering. Evenly divide noodles between serving bowls; top with thinly sliced steak, vegetables and herbs.  Pour simmering broth over top.  Serve immediately with lime wedge and hot sauce, if desired.Heat broth until gently simmering.
