Ingredients: 60 g butter; 1/2 cup sugar; 1 egg; 1 cup self-raising flour; 1 pinch salt; 1/2 cup milk; 1 apple peeled thinly sliced cored *to decorate; 1 tsp sugar *to decorate; 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg *to decorate

1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup self-raising flour
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup milk
1 apple peeled thinly sliced cored *to decorate
1 tsp sugar *to decorate
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg *to decorate

	PREP TIME 15m	COOK TIME 30m	TOTAL TIME 45m

Instructions

Cream butter and sugar and then add egg, beating well.
Add flour and salt alternating with milk and mix until light and fluffy.
Pour mixture into a greased and lined cake tin.
Place thickly sliced apple decoratively on top of cake and sprinkle with the extra sugar and some nutmeg.
Bake at 180C for 30-45 minutes.
Remove from tin when cooked and cool on tray.
