Strawberry Puppy Chow Recipe

Ingredients: 5 cups Vanilla cereal, divided into 2 bowls; 1/2 cup strawberry cake mix; 1/2 cup powdered sugar; 1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries, finely crushed; 4 oz pink candy melts; 4 oz red candy melts; 1/2 cup M&M'S (I used Strawberry Chocolate)

Ingredients

5 cups Vanilla cereal, divided into 2 bowls
1/2 cup strawberry cake mix
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries, finely crushed
4 oz pink candy melts
4 oz red candy melts
1/2 cup M&M'S (I used Strawberry Chocolate)

Instructions

In a large Ziploc bag combine cake mix, sugar and freeze dried strawberries, mixing to combine. Set aside.
Microwave 4 ounces of candy melts(red or pink) in the microwave in 30 second intervals until melted.
Once melted pour over the first bowl Chex mix. Mix thoroughly to combine.
Measure out 3/4 cup of dry ingredients and add into the bowl with the chocolate covered Chex. Mix to combine. Set aside.
Microwave the remaining 4 ounces of candy melts in the microwave in 30 second intervals until melted.
Pour melted chocolate over the second bowl of Chex. Mix thoroughly to combine.
Add in the remaining dry ingredients and stir to combine.
In a large bowl, combine both bowls of colored Chex Mix and add in your M&M'S.
Stir to combine and enjoy!
