Ingredients

  • 1 beef prime rib roast (7 lb./3.2 kg), 5 or 6 ribs
  • 1 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1-1/4 cups Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing , divided
  • 10 heads of garlic

Instructions

  • Place meat in shallow dish; sprinkle with pepper.
  • Pour 1 cup dressing over meat.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour to marinate.
  • Heat oven to 425°F.
  • Remove meat from marinade; discard marinade.
  • Place meat, fat side up, in roasting pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Cut tops off garlic heads; discard tops.
  • Place garlic, cut sides up, around meat.
  • Drizzle with remaining dressing.
  • Bake 15 min.
  • Reduce heat to 325°F; bake 3-1/2 to 4 hours or until 150°F.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Cover with foil; let stand 15 to 20 min. or until medium doneness (160ºF) before slicing.
  • Serve with garlic.
