Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
  • 3 cups thawed Cool Whip Whipped Topping
  • 1 egg
  • 4 oz. (1/2 of 225-g pkg.) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate , chopped
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • 1. Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray.
  • 2. Beat dry cake mix, Cool Whip and egg in large bowl with mixer until blended. (Batter will be stiff.) Stir in chocolate and nuts.
  • 3. Spread onto bottom of prepared pan.
  • 4. Bake 23 to 25 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool completely. Use foil handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting into bars.
