Ingredients: 125 g margarine; 1 cup sugar; 1 tsp cinnamon sugar; 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda; 1 cup water; 3 bananas mashed; 2 eggs lightly beaten; 2 cups self-raising flour sifted

Instructions

Preheat oven to 180C.
Grease a 19cm x 19 cm square cake tin.
Bring margarine, sugar, spices, bicarbonate of soda and water to the boil, then simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Cool, then mix in eggs and sifted flour, and fold through bananas.
Pour into cake tin and bake for approximately 1 hour or until a skewer inserted in middle of cake comes out clean.
