Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef bones
  • 1 onion large chopped
  • 2 carrots diced
  • 2 celery sticks chopped
  • 1/2 cup pearl barley
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed
  • 400 g canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 1/2 cups beef stock (liquid)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp dried mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp salt *to taste

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in pressure cooker and seal.
  • Bring to high pressure, adjust heat and cook at high pressure for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and allow pressure to release naturally for 10-15 minutes.
  • Remove bones and bay leaf. Season to taste with salt.
  • Serve with warm bread or rolls.
