Pet Planet is a family business, founded by a mother and daughter team with a passion for animals.

After suffering the loss of pets they loved, they embarked on a journey to help pets live longer and healthier lives, through a model based on education and a health-minded approach to pet retail.

The first Pet Planet store opened in Calgary, Alberta and was founded on the principle of total pet health wellness through education. 

Today, Pet Planet is a dedicated group of individuals, corporate employees and franchise operators alike, who are dedicated to your pet's well being. 

Through passion and innovation, we have grown from one Calgary retail location in 1996 to fifty-four stores strong and now reach from coast to coast in Canada and have recently burgeoned into the US market through our expansion into Arizona.
