The furniture store was originally owned by David Lloyd Goodfellow from Tichborne.

David owned the furniture store on 11 Church Street, presently Coldwell Banker Realty.

He then moved the business to 15 Spring Street that unfortunately burned.

Goodfellow’s furniture store was then built on 20 Rideau Street, which burned out in the early 70s.

In 1971 the owner of Goodfellow’s Furniture purchased the former school & property on the corner of Rideau and Concession Street, which is now the present location of the business.

In 1984 Dale Lyons bought the Goodfellow’s Furniture Business and changed the name to Lyons Goodfellow Furniture.
