LASIK vision correction is an excellent alternative to eyeglasses and contact lenses. It has been helping people to reduce their dependency on glasses and contacts and regain an active lifestyle for over 20 years.

Common refractive errors such as nearsightedness (myopia) and farsightedness (hyperopia) are typically the result of the eye being too long or too short. Another common refractive error – called astigmatism - can also be caused by an irregular shaped cornea, which is the outer, clear portion of the eye’s surface.

The LASIK procedure uses an excimer laser to correct these common errors, by reshaping the cornea. This precise reshaping allows light rays to focus directly onto the back portion of the eye called the retina, providing clear vision.
