Forty six years ago Phil Jordan opened a small furniture store in Canning. He opened his 1200 square foot furniture business on April 29, 1969.

In 1983, his oldest son Don joined him.

The original store had grown to 6,000 square feet and it continues to offer quality furniture and appliances as well as unmatched service and reliability.

After 25 successful years, Phil opened a new location on May 11, 1994; Jordan’s Home Furnishings celebrated the Grand Opening of their fabulous new 20,000 square-foot store at 9108 Commercial Street, New Minas, which offers an even greater selection of furniture, appliances and accessories.

At this time, Phil’s daughter Sherry joined the family business.

In February 2011, they expanded the existing New Minas store by 15,000 square feet, giving Jordan’s a showroom of 35,000 square feet.

In today’s economy, no one wants to make the wrong choice, particularly when it comes to a purchase as important as home furnishings.

The innovative vignettes featured at Jordan’s takes the guess work out of room decoration and coordination.

Whether you’re casually browsing or seriously shopping for home furnishings, you’ll find the atmosphere relaxing yet inspiring.

Displays include quality furniture and appliances. Famous names such as Palliser, La-Z-Boy, Ekornes, England, Superstyle, Simmons, Durham, Flexsteel, Barrymore, General Electric, and Canadel.

Jordan’s is a member of Mega Group Inc., the largest furniture and appliance buying group in Canada.

This arrangement offers Jordan’s the buying power to compete with any of the large chain stores, and still be locally owned and controlled.
