Incorporated in 1965 by Cor & Riea Bruin, Bruin's Plumbing & Heating Ltd., was founded on the principles of hard work, family values, and care for customers and employees alike.

Herman - Cor & Riea's son - joined the newly founded company in 1966.

At that time, the young company kept busy doing service work and completing small residential jobs in Red Deer and the surrounding areas.

The company hired its first employee in 1968, and by 1975 had grown to include 65 employees.

Over the years, Bruin's has continued to expand & diversify.

Herman Bruin took on the role of President in 1988 when Cor retired.

The company now employs nearly 150 people in plumbing, gasfitting and HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) trades providing service, renovation and construction services from the smallest of residential jobs to multi-million dollar projects.

Despite the  size of the business, it is still run on family values, with Herman’s son Marty serving as General Manager, his daughter Corinna working in the accounting office; and with many long-term employees serving vital roles within the company.
