Bedford Eye Care, your eye doctors near Halifax, was established in 1984 by Dr. Toby Mandelman in the Sun Tower in Bedford.

In 1992, she expanded and moved her office to the mezzanine level of Sunnyside Mall.

In 1994, Dr. Angela Dobson joined the eye care practice and in 1998, Dr. Avila Cox was also welcomed to the office.

The office was expanded and enlarged again in 2001 within Sunnyside Mall. 

The practice grew again with the addition of Dr. Raman Parkash in 2006.

In 2012, Dr. Parkash relocated to Halifax and Dr. Erin Sheppard joined our practice.

In September of 2012, our office expanded and relocated to 36 Duke St. in Bedford. (Unit 1)

In July 2014, Dr. Erin McLeod joined the optometrists at the Bedford Eye Care Team.

July 2015, found Dr. Dobson leaving to set up her own behavioural/neuro optometry practice and Dr. McLeod becoming a partner.

In 2015, Bedford Eye Care boasts 5 optometrists, 24 staff (including licensed opticians and a contact lensfitter) and an office manager.
