I believe that quality work is still important and has value.

My career started in 2001 with my training in traditional wooden boatbuilding, sailmaking and rigging at the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding.

Here I was taught woodworking grounded in time-honoured techniques with an emphasis on hand tools; we were not building boats, we were building craftsmen.

After graduating I was hired by Woodwind Yachts where I was able to practice and enhance my woodworking skills.

After three years of restoring wooden boats I was employed doing violin repair and restoration by Peter Dawson Violins in Ottawa.

When the owner decided to retire I bought the business and continued operations for five years.

During this time my wife and I started our family and began thinking about moving back to Manitoulin to raise our children.

In 2012 we purchased a farm and left the city to come back home and make a quieter life for our family.

What I bring to my work is over fifteen years of dedication to quality work and attention to detail.

I would like to help you create something special for your home or as a gift for a friend.
