Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) Jell-O Butterscotch Instant Pudding
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, finely chopped

Makes 16 servings, 1 piece (132 g) each.

Instructions

  • 1. Mix dry cake mix and spices, then use to prepare cake batter as directed on package; pour into 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
  • 2. Beat dry pudding mixes, sugar, milk and water in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir in apples; spoon evenly over batter. Place dish on rimmed baking sheet.
  • 3. Bake 1 hour 10 min. to 1 hour 15 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool slightly. (Sauce will thicken slightly as it cools.)
