Ingredients

  • 30 wood skewers
  • 2 packages (200 g each) wapiti meat fondue slices
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) Italian bread crumbs
  • 10 cubes Feta cheese
  • Oil-packed stuffed green olives
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) Chili powder
  • 2 lime, cut in wedges
  • 10 cubes Monterey Jack or sharp cheddar
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) Basil pesto
  • one 170-mL jar Strips of commercial roasted red pepper
  • 10 cubes Cheese Smoked Caciocavallo or smoked Gouda

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • Divide fondue meat into three groups.
  • For each version, place a cube of cheese in the centre of each meat slice and wrap wapiti around cheese to seal.
  • Thread the garnish onto each skewer, followed by the stuffed meat.
  • Coat with suggested coating and place skewers on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, or until meat is cooked.
  • Place on a serving plate and serve hot.
