Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 onion , finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 3-1/2 cups Heinz Tomato Juice
  • 1 can (5.5 fl oz/156 mL) tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 lb. (225 g) fully cooked chicken breast strip s
  • 1 cup sliced black olives
  • 3/4 lb. (340 g) spaghetti , uncooked
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/3 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Shaved Cheese

6 servings, 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) each

Instructions

  • Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat.
  • Add onions and garlic; cook 3 min. or until onions are crisp-tender, stirring frequently.
  • Add tomato juice, tomato paste, sugar and oregano; mix well.
  • Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 30 min., stirring occasionally and adding chicken and olives for the last 10 min.
  • After 15 min., cook spaghetti as directed on package, omitting salt.
  • Drain spaghetti; place in large bowl.
  • Add half the sauce; mix lightly.
  • Place on platter; top with remaining sauce, parsley and cheese.
