Ingredients

  • 8 (about 1.3 kg) apples
  • 250 mL (1 cup) Tradition apple juice
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

  • Roughly chop unpeeled apples, removing core and seeds, but leaving skin on.
  • Simmer the apples, juice, and spices in a saucepan for about 35 minutes or until apples are very soft.
  • Remove the star anise and cinnamon stick. 
  • Use a hand blender to purée until smooth.
