St. Peter's Day Care strives to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment that builds positive self-esteem for the child.

Through play experience and teacher guidance, children will build upon their curiosity, initiative, and independence.

These can be achieved by working with others in a positive and cooperative peer setting.

We follow the document "How Does Learning Happen", Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years, and the Ministry of Education's Extended Day Program.

Our staff use reflection exercises from these documents to review their observations of the children while engaging children in meaningful activities.

Staff use these observations and reflections to better help children grow and develop.

Through our program, we aim for the child to have opportunities for total development and we challenge the child to grow in all areas.

Our program will stimulate curiosity and independence, cooperation with peers, motor development, and a sense of self-worth.

We are proud participants of Raising the Bar, and have been since 2002.
