A lifelong resident of Niagara, I joined a regional accounting firm in 2004 as a first year co-op student in their St. Catharines office.

After graduating from Brock University and receiving my Honours Bachelor of Accounting degree with first class standing in 2008, I successfully completed ICAO’s Professional Program, earning the Chartered Accountant designation in early 2009.

As a student, associate and Partner at the regional firm, I provided clients with a variety of assurance, accounting and taxation services.

In addition to providing year-round service to personal tax clients, my responsibilities included audit planning, internal control testing, supervision of junior staff, preparing financial statements, corporate tax planning and tax returns, including Charitable and Annual Information Returns for non-profit clients.

Clients ranged from small for-profit companies to large not-for-profit entities, including several public sector organizations.

While at Brock, I was lucky enough to meet my future wife. After marrying, we moved to Thorold where we currently live with our young daughter.

In between work, school drop-offs, and multiple viewings of Frozen Moana Paw Patrol, I try to make time for golf, softball, and the occasional Leafs game.

I also sit on the Board as Treasurer of the Brock University Alumni Association, act as marker-grader for various post-secondary accounting courses, and participate in the annual CPA Volunteer Tax Clinic.
