As a kid growing up I had many dreams; one of them was to get a trade and another was to start my own business.

At twelve years old, I had it all planned out, and even boldly proclaimed my dreams to my parents one day while we were all standing in the kitchen.

In 1987 I got my plumbing ticket.

In 1990, with the economy on the brink of a recession, I somehow managed to secure a bank loan and registered L.J. Barton Mechanical Inc.

Then I threw myself into the business full bore. And I never looked back. From day one I’ve believed that if you do a good job at a fair price and look after people, you’ll never go wrong.

Having a competent and caring team to work with every day brings more enjoyment to the process, and I’m grateful for everyone who has, and who continues to contribute to the ongoing success of L.J. Barton Mechanical.
