Coco Paving was founded by Nina and William Coco in 1964, in Windsor, Ontario.

From its origins in 1964 until 1981, the  Company’s primary focus was on concrete works (roads, sidewalks, curbs, and driveways).

In 1981, Coco Paving sold its concrete ready mix operation to Lafarge and three years later, in 1984,  it then  acquired  its  first asphalt plant.

With the addition of  Nina and Bill’s children,  Rocky and Jenny Coco, to the family business, Coco Paving continued to strive for growth and development opportunities, focusing on vertical integration.

With Rocky as President and Jenny as CEO, the Company continues  to expand  its operations to include  underground site servicing, sanitary, storm and  water mains, electrical site servicing.

By 1998, Coco Paving had grown exponentially and was the only fully-integrated heavy civil construction company in Ontario, with the operation of a concrete pipe plant.

Having grown the Company over the past 10 years,  2004 proved to be an accomplished year for the Company, having landed its first major MTO Project, valued over $50M.

Coco Paving secured a 2 year contract to construct 10km of 6-lane concrete highway pavement  together  with  a  concrete barrier median.

Coco Paving’s certification of internal lab for materials testing (CCIL) provided improved quality control on this project.

In 2008, Coco Paving also secured one of the largest MTO projects in the Province of Ontario.

The project was a $94.7M, a 3 year contract, and requiring Coco Paving to construct 12km of 6-lane highway pavement.
