This sales and service business first opened its doors by two partners, in July of 1979, on the north east corner of 10th and College Avenue.

In the beginning, this company catered to residential and commercial customers in Brandon and area, with 2 service vehicles (vans) and a willingness to work long hours.

In 1981, the business bought an old shoe repair business and building in the 600 block of 10th Street.

The old building and equipment were donated to the Austin Museum and a new building was built, where they have remained to this very day.

Don Campbell, one of the originating partners bought out the other in 1984.

The service area has expanded to include all areas of Manitoba including Churchill, Thompson, Flin Flon to the north and as far south as the US Border, working from eastern Saskatchewan to Portage le Prairie and Winkler.

This business in well known by all the banks, credit unions as well as companies and individuals that are concerned with good lock security.

Early in 2013, Don the originating partner passed away. In compliance with Don’s wishes, the business will be carried on under the same name, under the same premise and on the same lines as before. However, C & E is now under the direction and ownership of Tom Yorke.

Tom worked with Don, for more than 25 years. Tom’s years of experience make him more than qualified to be Don’s successor.

With over 35 years of lock and safe experience, C & E will cut your keys, supply and repair your locks, service your safe and help you to get back into your home/car when you lock yourself out.
