At The Flying Apron, our motto is We Do Local! Our local food menu is seasonal and changes weekly (or more often!).
We do this to feature what is being harvested by our farmers and to account for our use of whole animals.
The majority of our menu ingredients come from within 15 mins of the restaurant; including sustainable fish, organic produce, organic fruit and lamb and pork raised just down the road on our Partner Farm: Ironwood Farm.

We have carefully selected locally produced beverages to pair with your meal. From Local wine and beer to house-made sweet tea and fresh lemonade.
We are also proud to offer selections from Just Us! Organic & Fair Trade Coffee Roasters, Halifax’s Propeller Brewing Co. and Lunenburg’s Terra Beata Juice.
New Menu Weekly
Our menu changes each week to feature the freshest Nova Scotia ingredients. In addition to the mouth-watering weekly specials, you can find some standard menu items like our House-made Burger and Vegan Burger; a Fresh Pasta; a House Cured Brisket Sandwich; Sustainable Seafood Chowder and a Seasonal Salad Bowl.
We try our very best to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions for our guests and offer gluten free and vegetarian options.

To complete your meal you will find a stunning selection of desserts all lovingly made in our kitchen.
Our dessert selections change almost daily and may include a Strudel or Pie, Gluten Free Chocolate Cake, Crème Brûlée, the ever-popular Lemon Tart and our one of a kind Cream Cheese Pie.

Each week we offer a fresh, new Brunch menu on Sundays from 10-3.
While the menu changes each week, it always features Eggs Benedict 2 ways, Pancake and Oultons’ bacon, our Famous Burger topped with a fried egg and a Traditional Breakfast.
You may also find Belgian Waffles, our Signature Pig Fish Cakes with Baked Beans, a Breakfast Hash, our Seasonal Salad Bowl and more on the menu.
